Women’s vests can look back on a long history in the fashion world and, together with tops and trousers, have become essential basics. As part of a layered look, they are ideal for between seasons as they keep you warm without compromising on freedom of movement. Originally part of a three-piece gentlemen’s suit, a suit vest is made of the same material and in the same colour as the suit. However, these strict rules don’t apply to us women! The female version of a suit vest is cut very narrow and features an adjustable strap at the back. This means the vest can be adapted to the feminine figure and emphasises it elegantly.
